I had the privilege of having Claudio Maqque Valdez as my tour guide and Inkati Peru as our travel agency when we visited Peru. As soon as we arrived, he made us feel like family. I met Claudio as my guide 9 years ago. Life Changing Experience in Ausangate Mountains! I took on the Ausangate Trek with Claudio and his team in late August/early September 2023 and it was truly a life changing experience. In addition to being incredibly knowledgeable about Peru and the history that made it what it is today, Claudio is the most caring, and thoughtful guide. The little touches he included from inspirational quotes on our pillows/plates each night to beautifully packaged snacks were amazing. The personal stories and local traditions that our guides shared with us were so special and made the experience so memorable and unique. I truly can't underscore enough the impact of having guides (and crew) who really know the landscape and culture of the region. Their understanding of and relationship with the local communities we visited helped us go beyond being "normal tourist" experiences which was such a treasure. In all, the trip was a perfect mix of fun, education, and culture. In addition, for many in our group, it was our first real camping trip/trek. I wasn't at all sure what to expect but everything was so well thought out. From the prep documents to every little element of the trek and camp set up, I was continually impressed. The fact that the team could cook up gourmet meals (and cater to dietary restrictions!) while we were so far from running water, electricity, and stores was amazing. The level of service was impeccable too. Every team member always had a smile on their face whether they were welcoming us into camp, brushing snow off our sagging tents at 1am, or serving us much appreciated hot beverages at 5:30am. If you're heading to the Cusco area - whether it's for a day trip or an extended adventure - and looking for a memorable and culturally rich experience, I highly recommend Claudio and his team!LO27872024-02-23

Excellent experience! Inkati gave an excellent personalized tour of Valle Sagrado, Salineras de amara, Cusco and of course, Machu Picchu! They went out of their way to help us in every way to make sure we had a wonderful time…and that, we did.
